Viseart Eye Shadow Palette 06 Paris Nude

If I were a minimalist I might have been able to pare down my makeup collection to a handful of items, most likely centered around a a couple of Viseart palettes. I already showed you the Neutral Matte palette (#01), one of my current staples. Two or three months ago I bought the Paris Nude (06) palette, and now they live side by side, inspiring and helping me create eye looks that combine colors from both sets. We're one big happy family (yearning to expand and include their sibling, the Dark Matte).

Paris Nude has a different texture and finish. All the eye shadows are satin or smooth understated shimmer. Like all Viseart palettes, there are twelve colors in a very  plain and understated packaging that doesn't tell the whole story: top quality, excellent texture, and colors unique enough that I couldn't find exact duplicates for most of them. Even the lightest shades have a wonderful color pay-off, and the combination of color and texture makes these Viseart eye shadows easy to apply and blend.

The first row of the palette (colors 1-4) are the basic ones. Highlight-type shades that I've found layer beautifully over a matte color. These is probably the less convincing part of the palette, but truth be told, we all need these kind of colors. The second row (5-8) leans warm and offers a bronze mauve (my skin amplifies the brown undertones, while in the pan there's more purple, go figure), a dirty gold, a sunny terracotta shade, and a golden khaki. These are beautiful colors that served me as the focal point of summer eye looks and are now transitioning seamlessly onto fall (7+8 together are a stunning combination). The real wow factor, though, is in the bottom row (9-12). These are four complex colors that I would have bought in any format, and I enjoy staring at them just as much as actually dipping a brush into their pans. Mauve, cool khaki, cool purple brown and a rich grayed dark purple.

Paris Nude is one of the more unique palettes I own, perhaps even the most special. The luxury is saved for the actual product and not the packaging, and I'm satisfied with that. It's the type of makeup product that brings out my creativity, pushing to play with the colors and see how it comes out. This is why I'm lusting after the dark matte palette, to add more fun into the mix and push it further.

Bottom Line: a treat for makeup lovers.

Viseart Eye Shadow Palette 06 Paris Nude ($80, made in France) is available from Sephora.

  2. Great swatches! What a pretty palette! I have been tempted by the Viseart matte palette #1 for quite a long time and now I'll be adding this one to my wishlist :)

    1. I started collecting vintage lions a few years ago when my nephew was born on August 1st (a Leo). They make me smile.

  4. This looks like a great palette! Loads of colors that will appeal to everyone. I think the greys/lavenders especially would make for a great holiday party look paired with burgundy-colored lips.

  5. All the Viseart palettes seem to run on the warm side to my eye. Then again I've only seen them swatched on warm toned blogger skin. I wonder if they'd lean cooler on my neutral to cool skin. Beautiful palette, just not sure I want to take a chance on it.

    1. Makes sense. My skin leans more neutral than warm, but the green undertone skews things.

  6. This is my favorite Viseart palette, as I am so into mauve/purple colours. Your pictures show the true colours we see in real life.

In my opinion, Dark matte is not as good as other palettes. It's a bit dry and chalky.
