Monday mornings mean going over several Game of Thrones recaps on various websites. It's essential since I keep my eyes shut for an average 15% of each episode (more like 40% last night). And there are only so many times I can ask the husband "Who's that bearded one, again?"
This morning I realized that the Jouer eye primer I've been using and loving for the last two months and was going to review is actually their Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Nude. No wonder it was kind of sticky and gave some eye shadows a wet look, like what you see below on Cher (from Kavyn Aucoin's "Making Faces"). The thing is that the product made any eye shadow I used over it last through thick, thin, and some micellar water. Usually using glossy products on the lids make the makeup crease, but not this one. I'm still aghast at myself for not noticing (and at my fading eyesight), but you can't argue with results, right?
Those new NARS eye shadows are truly spectacular. I'll show and review the press samples later this week, and have every intention to get several more.
I've recently started applying mascara on my lower lashes. I don't know why, but after years of being very careful with any color product on the lower lids and lashes, I suddenly like the look, despite the natural deep hollows I sport around my eyes.
I fully admit that a big part of my curiosity and enthusiasm about the launch of Gucci makeup line has to do with the choice of Charlotte Casiraghi as the face of the collection. She looks just like her mother, Princess Caroline, but you can't forget she's also Grace Kelly's granddaughter. The magic is somehow still there.

ReplyDeleteSeriously laughing out loud at your primer discovery. I would let the PR team at Jouer know - there may be an untapped market here!
