The thirteen new shades of Laura Mercier Lip Glacé are a welcome addition to one of my favorite lip gloss ranges. Lip Glacé glosses are rich in pigment, smooth, and have a beautiful non-sticky texture and finish. They make my lips feel hydrated and hold nicely against the elements (these are glosses, though, so don't expect them to last past your first cup of tea). As long as you like the strong vanilla scent, these are as good as it gets, with the added bonus of Laura Mercier color sensibility.
I have the darkest two colors: Orchid and Garnet. Both are on the dramatic side and can be easily used alone, without lipstick or pencil base. Orchid is a rich beet color that leans pink on skin and lips, while Garnet is a deep burgundy that looks quite vampy. Being me, I mixed a drop of both colors the other day and really liked the very sultry result. Naturally, now I also want Poppy and Black Cherry, because obviously, I don't have enough red and purple glosses (insert eye roll). But seriously, these are lovely colors in an excellent formula from a favorite brand.
Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Orchid, Garnet and eleven more new colors ($25 each) are available at the counters and from lauramercier.com. The products shown here were sent by PR.
