Last night at the Elements Show in NYC I got to see the new Rouge Bunny rouge eye shadow palette that will be released this spring. The palette includes five new colors, all incredibly beautiful and very complex featuring the familiar Rouge Bunny Rouge iridescent finish. The five eye shadows offer pretty intense pigments. Each one is a gem all by itself and can be the focus of a makeup look. The real story of these colors, in my opinion, are the color undertones. They shift and change with the lights, the way the best Rouge Bunny Rouge colors tend to do.
The three photos above were taken with my phone after I realized that the lens I was using on the big camera was not cut out for product closeups (or swatches). I did keep one photo I took with the real camera because it shows these undertones more clearly, though the colors themselves are pretty much what you see above:
Of course, once I have the palette in my hands you'll get better pictures, comparisons, and a full review. But I thought you'd like to have an idea of what's coming.
Do you know what the approximate price point will be on the palette?
ReplyDelete*poof* Head explodes.
ReplyDeleteOH! So excited to see new eyeshadows, it looks so lovely. I wish I was in NYC and could visit the store!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous palette! I love the hummingbird imprint :)
ReplyDeleteWant!
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful! I hope the Twisted Lily will have them.
ReplyDeleteI think I just let out a sob and a squeak. My life will be made if RBR created a matte palette but now I'm just being greedy :P
ReplyDeleteWow! Can't wait to hear more!
ReplyDeleteHi I know this post is kind of old but I just need to know. Has this thing ever gone on sale? I have been checking the RBR website and the internet in general regularly, but I have never seen this sold or even reviewed anywhere else. Did you ever actually buy it?
ReplyDeleteEstimated launch date according to my RBR source is July. I'll do a full review and swatches when I have a confirmed final date.
DeleteOh wow! I thought this would be a spring release, as they show cased it in February. Thanks for replying so quickly.
