Laura Mercier Spring 2014 Collection

It looks like we're having a press release avalanche today. I know that it's not as satisfying as looking at the actual products and swatches (or playing with them. I'm quite impatient), but I should have some of these by next week, which should brighten the days and mood significantly.

Laura Mercier Spring 2014 collection is called Spring Renaissance, and is decidedly warm and peachy, with an emphasis on glowy skin and freshness, which can be a bit young. The official press release talks about purity and innocence (too late for most of us, I guess), but also of "bliss and enlightenment", which even I can't object to. Honestly, these days I'll take my bliss anywhere I can find it, including in the pan of a blush.

The eye and cheek palette above is named Enlightenment. These colors are too light and ethereal for me, but they'll suit the fair and blonde (or redheads. I get an Amy Adams vibe here) very well.

Take notice of the Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Alloy. There's been constant rumors about this gorgeous little thing being discontinued, but it's most definitely not. Another perennial favorite is Laura Mercier Creme Eye Liner in Espresso, which is among my favorite brown liners.
