Yes to Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser
I got a tube of Yes to Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser for the husband, which was kind of funny as tomatoes are the one vegetable he won't eat. I always tease him about it: what kind of a vegetarian doesn't like tomatoes? Seriously, The Blond likes okra well enough but won't touch a fresh tomato (he doesn't have a problem with cooked, roasted or sun-dried. Just not the juicy fresh ones that I practically live on). But I got him to say Yes To Tomatoes in this case.
The husband has a combination skin that can get dry in places but is also prone to clogging. He does all the yard work as well as various home maintenance projects outside and ends up quite grimy, which requires an effective cleanser. Yes To Tomatoes seems to have been doing its job in this regard, and since I've borrowed the cleanser several times to use with my Clarisonic, I can tell you that the texture is pleasant, the cream foams nicely for an SLS-free product and doesn't irritate my skin (I do need a good dose of hydration afterwards, but that's expected). Yes To Tomatoes is rich in lycopene, aloe, and is supposed to be 95% all natural and certified organic, but it is a scented product (I like the fragrance they used. It's light and soapy), so take that into account if you're sensitive. The husband claims it smells like tomatoes which puts him off from using it too often. I have no idea what he's talking about.
Ingredients:
Water, Lauryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Extract, Citrullus Vulgaris Seed Oil (Watermelon), Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos/Red Tea) Leaf Extract, Maris Limus (Dead Sea Mud), Water, Lauryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Extract, Citrullus Vulgaris Seed Oil (Watermelon), Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos/Red Tea) Leaf Extract, Maris Limus (Dead Sea Mud), Citric Acid, Phenethyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance.
Bottom Line: It works, but I'll have to find the husband something different.
Yes to Tomatoes Daily Clarifying Cleanser ($9.99) is available at Ulta, Target, and drugstore.com.
What a funny post! I reellg don't know anyone who doesn't like tomatoes..,! It's interesting that the ingredients include watermelon seed oil and roobois... Sounds like something I would like to try.
