Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color- Medium
I bought this Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color at the suggestion of Dain from the dearly missed Ars Aromatica. She told me that this is a good alternative to the wonderful Suqqu Eyebrow Liquid Pen, a product that requires jumping through hoops (and paying through the nose) to acquire if you live in the US. As is usually the case, Dain was right.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color is exactly what I needed: a lasts-through-a-storm pen with a soft felt tip that feels like a brush and allows for drawing thin lines and filling little gaps in the eyebrow. All that- and in a color that looks right. The secret of this Stila pen in Medium (just like Suqqu in Moss Green) is that 1) it has no red undertones, and 2) the seemingly light color is perfect for a soft look without the harshness of black or charred browns. The brows look perfectly normal and natural, only fuller where needed. It's one of those little things that make a huge difference in one's appearance.
When I bought this pen months ago there were only two available colors, Light and Medium. While Medium is perfect for my needs those who truly need a darker product had no alternative. Since then Stila released a third option: Dark. From what I see online this is another winner because it's still not black or brown, just a more saturated version of this one. I'll have to try it one of these days and compare.
Bottom Line: get it.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color ($21) is available from Sephora, Ulta, and stilacosmetics.com.
Sounds perfect! I think that for most people a brow pen is the way to go - especially one with no red undertones. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have tried various brow pens and didn't like them. For the most part, they are expensive and do not last very long. I find it easier to use an eyeshadow (like MAC Concrete) with an angled brush. For me, it is a good, neutral dark greyish brown and blends perfectly with my brows. When I was undergoing chemotherapy treatment, I had to create my brows entirely, and used L'Oreal Bare Natural Mineral Eye Liner (a powder). It is inexpensive, stayed on all day, and comes in several different colors appropriate for brows.
ReplyDeleteThey're not the same, but Stila is a good deal more convenient than Suqqu. Hope you, the Blond, and the clowder of cats are well. =)
