Shiseido Accentuating Cream Eyeliner comes with the small synthetic brush you see above. The cover of the brush attaches to its bottom to form a handle, and the shape and density are perfect for the product. A couple of days after I got the eyeliner the kittens took off with the brush. Don't ask me how it happened or where they stashed it. I looked all over the place, but I suspect that somewhere in the house there's a secret stash of small items and single socks the cats are hiding from me. Since then I discovered that long and thin eyeliner brushes don't work well with this Shiseido cream liner (Louise Young LY24A and MAC 209 type). Instead, you need to go with a similar density to the original Shiseido brush and use stiff brushes- angled or ones like Hakuhodo K005.
Bottom Line: Love. Now I wish they'd make one in navy blue.
Shiseido- Accentuating Cream Eyeliner ($26) is available at the counters, Sephora (online only), and shiseido.com.

ReplyDeleteGaia, I giggled when I read about the kittens stealing the brush and stashing it! When our Aussie was a puppy things around the house began to disappear. Baseball hats and tee shirts, my husband's fancy cycling sunglasses, a screwdriver, magazines.....it took us a long time to suspect the dogs. Then one day I was looking out the window into the side yard and I saw our puppy and our older Aussie run across the yard and disappear under the bushes and brambles out along the far fence line. My hubby and I snuck out to investigate and much to our surprise they had dug a big hole or as we called it "a doggy den" ....where we found the mysteriously missing items! Along with pop cans and even a cat food can stolen from the recycling bin...licked clean of course. We still laugh about it! I'm sure you'll find the kitty hidey hole....and your brush!
ReplyDeleteLooks rather dry on your arm... doesn't seem to make a consistent, smooth line (I see blobs and light patches).
