Daniel Sandler Watercolour Crème Rouge- Soft Pink
Daniel Sandler is more famous for his liquid Watercolour blush (the one that comes in a bottle). But it seems like so many bloggers have already reviewed those, I chose the road less traveled by and ordered a Watercolour Crème Rouge in Soft Pink. It takes less space, after all, and is more convenient on the go and for travel.
Soft Pink is more of a mauve shade, but I guess it is soft compared to Daniel Sandler's Hot Pink blush, so it works for me. The color seems to have a natural almost brown base, so it really blends well with the skin. The swatch above is one swipe, unblended. On my face I prefer to sheer it out considerably, which can be done with fingers (also with a small brush like the Cheeky Brush by Julie Hewett). The texture is soft and very pliable, it's thin and definitely watercolor-like, though not quite as ethereal as the new Chanel cream blushes. Still, it's not a bad alternative, especially if the Chanel ones were too bright for your taste. Longevity is very good over a well-applied base, but again-- not quite as long lasting as the day-to-night quality of Chanel.
Bottom Line: a good one.
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Crème Rouge (£15.50, which is about $24) is available from danielsandler.com. They ship worldwide (no tax for US and Canada).
