Book
American Fashion by Charlie Scheips. It's a book from 2007 or thereabout, and between the wonderful photos and the well-researched information I'm happy and satisfied. Absolutely gorgeous.
Music
Goldfrapp- Drew (video is NSFW)
TV
Still watching endless home improvement shows. I can look at this guy all day long (even when he's not wielding a jackhammer) :
Perfume
I've been wearing Hiris to bed lately. The brilliance of Olivia Giacobetti never ceases to amaze me.
Makeup
The new Shiseido palette. It reminds me of the feeling I had as a kid whenever I got a new box of crayons.
Frequently Worn Item/Outfit
Earlier this month I bought a funky vintage bracelet. The large pottery beads are shaped like pineapples and glazed in yellow, orange and green. It's a conversation piece, and oddly goes well with many outfits. Then again, I don't exactly work at a bank.
Food
I had the most heavenly zabaglione last Friday. It was made at the table right in front our eyes. I could die and die (and eat and eat).
Drink
Harney's African Autumn tea. It's a rooibos blend.
Bane
Discovering that Ikea has discontinued the Bertby media storage system that I use for my perfume collection. The six I have are beyond full and I desperately need a couple more cabinets (the husband wants his own section).
Joy
Celebrating twenty years together with the husband.
Anticipation
A spa day.
Wishlist
Just health and peace for my friends and their sweet cats and dogs. Too many have been suffering lately.
Random Thought
At the End Of Days, the only thing left other than cockroaches will be Ikea Malm dressers.

Hello everyone!!!
ReplyDeletePerfume: i 'm wearing vintage Amazone, Hermes. I love its rootiness, i 'm sorry that doesn't have enough longevity on me but it's superbe and i love that it wakes in me nostalgia for those years when perfumes had substance, character. My new find is Hesperide', Patyka. Rarely if not ever i find a citrus perfume with an oily feeling in it, which makes it non fleeting.
Food: i 'm growing addicted to cappuccino and the cakes i make. LOL !
Music: the only music that relaxes me for two months now is Cafe' del Mar songs on youtube.
Joy: i thank God and i feel lucky that i have my dog, the sweetest creature, my antidepressant, anti-anxiety, my "medicine" for all the bad things. Almost.
Anticipation: finding time to paint my next canvas.
Book: Journals online, surffing in the blogosphere. I want to finish "Portrait of a Lady", which is huge like a book and i don' t have the mood to get into the atmosphere, although i appreciated the movie.
Bane: i live in a troubled country, Greece, where people get fired everyday and if we don't have money to pay the electricity bill, the state takes our houses. Perfume and blogosphere is a relaxing pathway to get me through days filled with insecurity.
Wishlist: i want to find a bottle of vintage Givenchy's "Genteleman". I am familiar with its smell, because someone i don't remember was wearing it when i was little. I love it's smell of old world.
By everyone !!

Frequently Worn Outfit: Light "floaty" tops, skinny jeans, and strappy sandals.
