NARS adds a new range of eye makeup this fall: a multitasking gel formula that works as an eyeliner and an eye shadow. NARS Eye Paint ($25) comes in a little pot (looks similar to various Bobbi Brown, MAC, and Laura Mercier products), and will be offered in ten shades to start with, and two finishes-- cream and shimmer. So far none of the colors are a limited edition. The teal one has already captured my attention, but there are several classic wearable colors from black to khaki.
NARS is also adding a new brush an angled brush, #38, for use with NARS Eye Paint so we can apply the color as an eyeliner ($26). I have enough similar brushes, so I'll probably skip this one, but I will be testing it with classic gel eyeliner brushes such as Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier push brush.
NARS Eye Paint will be available starting September 1 at Nordstro, NARS boutiques, and narscosmetics.com.
What do you think? Does the market need more of these products?
Yes, I think good quality products are always needed. It seems like every line has a similar liner/shadow product now, but they're not all good. I'll be interested to see if NARS quality holds up for these.
