Fall 2013 brings a much-needed addition to NARS Larger Than Life eyeliner pencil range. The new liner, Via Martelli, is a true chocolate brown (the other brown NARS Larger Than Life pencil, Via Appia, is supposed to be a copper brown; I don't have it so I can't compare, but from what I know the description on NARS website is spot on). It's a rich color that will make a perfect fall smoky eye, though not as dark as the one you see below, which is part of NARS Fall 2013 campaign. Via Martelli will look beautiful with the new limited edition single eye shadow in Yamal (the one described as "maple sugar"), and it makes an interesting base that seriously enhances the mild Kamchatka (yes, the navy one).
NARS Larger Than Life pencils have a fabulous formula. They're extremely long-lasting (and require some serious soaking to remove), stay put even on the waterline, and have a creamy texture that's very easy to work with. It's the second best thing to being born with a natural line, like my sweet Sophie:
Bottom Line: I hope they release an espresso color next season.
