Rose Petal is another beautiful Estee Lauder lipstick from the Pure Color Crystal line (yes, I know. I wish they'd show some more creativity in naming). It has a semi-sheer cream finish with no shimmer but enough shine for a luscious look. The color payoff is quite impressive for a sheer formula and can be built and intensified. Wear time is about 4 hours with some staining left behind-- not bad at all. Scentwise you know the drill. It's an Estee Lauder lipstick, heavily fragranced but I find that not only doesn't it linger for long, the tube starts losing the scent within a few weeks.
Rose Petal is aptly named. It's a classic medium rose color that would flatter most skin tones. With my coloring and pigmented lips Rose Petal looks casual and natural, just a little brighter than my natural lip color. It's an always appropriate, year round shade.
Bottom Line: My tube is already half gone.
Estee Lauder Rose Petal Pure Color Crystal Lipstick ($25) is available at the counters and from esteelauder.com. I got it as a gift with purchase, hence the plain tube.
Long ago, there was a Prescriptives lipstick called Navy Pink. I have been searching for a color like this for an eternity. I think this may be it. Must buy!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous marriage of rose/pink. Luscious looking texture, too. Might have to spoil myself with this one soon.
