Cherry season is still a while ahead, but I got a craving for these RED Valentino Cherry-appliqué patent ballet flats. Yes, they could feel just as right in little' niece's wardrobe (note to self: search for something similar for a 5 year old), but they're adorable and will look nice with many of my spring and summer dresses ($295 on net-a-porter).
Speaking of cherries:
I'm always eyeing 1940s bakelite cherry necklaces. This one is offered on Etsy for $800+, so I'm kicking myself for passing on an opportunity to buy a full for less than $200 a few years ago.
I might be late to the party, but I only just saw your new fab look now. Congrats, and a perfect fit for the cherry ballet flats too
ReplyDeleteThanks, Asali! I just launched the new look a few minutes ago, so you're among the very first to see it :) .
DeleteI was just going to say the same thing. The cherry ballet flats post is the perfect way to launch your new look! Love it!!

Adorable springy shoes! And beautiful and fresh look to your blog, Gaia!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look! And I love that necklace as well. Bakelite makes me happy. Buying it online can be so expensive though- I see better prices at specialty shows and antique expos in convention centers. And I don't know if it's just my area here, but lately I've noticed prices all over the place. A month or so ago I spotted a brooch I liked at three different dealers within the same show. The price for the piece ranged from $260 all the way up to $785! It would be interesting to see where each of those dealers are based, and I really should have picked up their business cards. That's something for me to keep in mind for the future I suppose. I'll be wishing a stellar deal your way for a lovely red necklace. Keep looking because you might yet find one! :)
ReplyDeleteBut if you find two, you'll need to save one for me because I don't have one yet either! hahaha
Beautiful new look. I love reading your blog and just wanted to pop in.
