Royal Headgear: Sophie Countess of Wessex, Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie
The British royal family did their Easter thing on Sunday, and while the focus was naturally on the Queen, there were some interesting fashion moments among the younger generations. There's something about this photo of Sophie, the Countess of Wessex and the two York princesses, Beatrice (center, the one who looks like her mother) and Eugenie. All three are wearing elaborate fascinators that somehow looked coordinated. The Countess of Wessex chose a Roland Mouret dress and that peacock hat (Jane Taylor Millinery, I think it's a bespoke version of this) is a show-stopper. Here's another look at Sophie and her peacock:

Sophie looks the best because , with these types of hats - you need the hair up!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Beatrice's beret-like fascinator, with its one dashing feather.
ReplyDeleteI think the fascinators are so much fun and are perfectly suited to that touch of English whimsy and eccentricity that they seem to favor. That peacock one is a wonderful example.
