I guess that the upcoming collection will once again be very blonde-oriented. Oh, well. It'll be pretty nonetheless.

Diane Kruger has a pared down, more mature beauty that will be refreshing after the vibrant colors of the summer collection. From the few bits and pieces I've seen of the fall collection, her coloring will be ideally suited to it if that's one of the collections she'll be fronting.
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of new faces, I love your blog re-do. When I first landed here, I had to do a double take to make sure I was in the right place. It's bright and cheerful. It's good to shake things up now and then.
She's very vanilla-looking.
ReplyDeleteI miss the days when Chanel was more "haute courant" (yes, I made that up) than "au courant". The quality is always sublime, but it's just so boring.
I am weary of fifty shades of erase-my-lips nude lipstick. Give me eye glosses, blue glossimer, Hysteria lipstick (or =something= avant garde)! Love them or hate them, they were something that was unique for their time.
I would have loved a set of those jeweled eyebrows, and those velvet CC mouches....
{{{ sigh }}}
I don't really like her. I don't dislike her, I just find her bland. There's nothing particularly wrong, she just seems so distant, disengaging. I was expecting a more interesting person for Chanel really, somebody with more of an allure and passionate that can hold your attention and make an impact.
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer Diane over Gisele Bundchen (from their last campaign). She just does not evoke that classic Chanel beauty, just my personal opinion. Now about that Biarritz "body" bag, I'd happily tote it in all its glorious size awkwardness IF I can have it as pictured above.. exotic leather makes me drool!
ReplyDeleteThat is a horrifically ugly bag.
