There are three different blue eye pencils shown as part of the Fall 2012 Blue Illusion de Chanel collection: Le Crayon Yeux in Bleu Aerien, Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Marine (30) and Le Crayon Kohl Marine (63). Only Bleu Aerien is a limited edition, but I decided to pass on it despite the gorgeous shade because Le Crayon Yeux is my least favorite formula of Chanel eyeliners. Instead, I picked Marine 63 (I think this shade is actually a repromoted one and not brand new) in Le Crayon Khol, which is my favorite because of its soft and pliable texture.
Marine 63 is a very dark navy of the almost-black variety. It's the kind of color I use a lot, though usually not with bright blue eye shadows such as the new Illusion d'Ombre ones from the Blue Illusion de Chanel collection. It doesn't matter: this is a great khol pencil that smudges beautifully and creates a great base for a navy smoky eye.
Bottom Line: what's not to like?
Chanel Le Crayon Khol- Marine 63 ($28) is available from Chanel counters everywhere.
I think that colour is being reintroduced, too. I used to wear one called Blue Jean as well. Personally,I love Le Crayon Yeux pencils; but the kohl ones just do not last on my eyes.
