You know I couldn't resist this color. Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow in Neptune is a shimmery teal that leans green/gray. It has the same nice texture of the other Smashbox 15H cream shadows (though that 15 hour promise is exaggerated) and is very easy to work with.
The color when applied on kin and lid is less vibrant than it appears in the pan, especially if you choose to blend it instead of patting the color on. This results in a more wearable but less interesting look, so I think I prefer Neptune as either an intensifying base for a powder eye shadow or as a thick liner.
You can see how the color appears both in direct sun (under a skylight) and in a well-lit room. The shimmer is very fine and actually looks better and smoother on the lid, though it might have to do with always using a primer underneath (I swatched for these pictures on clean skin with no base).
The boxes of Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadows have a true to color and size photo of the product, so I store the pots upside down inside their original boxes with the photo side up. This way the integrity of the product is maintained and they're far less likely to dry, while I can easily find the shade I need.
Bottom Line: nice enough.
Smashbox Neptune Limitless 15 Hr Wear Cream Shadow ($19) is available from Nordstrom, Sephora, Ulta and smashbox.com.
