This is just a preliminary look at two colors from Shiseido's new Lacquer Rouge line of glossy liquid lipsticks. I need to spend more quality time with them before reviewing, but I can tel you that RD501 (Drama) and RD305 (Nymph) are lovely and leave quite a bit of a stain behind (I have yet to fully get rid of the swatching residue).

I'm looking forward to reading this review. I would love to know how they compare to the sadly discontinued Chanel Rouge Allure Laques (I only got into them last autumn, just need to find one Phoenix for backup, then I'll happily let go).
ReplyDeleteI've never been so impressed with a lip product and so far the Guerlain ones don't seem to share the qualities that I like in RAL (although I should wait until I see them, to know for sure), so hopefully these could be a nice substitute.

You and Charlestongirl are killing me with these. They are beautiful and I want them too!
ReplyDeleteDick Page hasn't disappointed me with any of his revamped lip product lines yet, so I am very much looking forward to these. Can't wait for your review. I'm thinking of ordering Portrait and Nocturne myself (via Dain), but those rosy reds are awfully pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe models in Michael Kor's fall 2012 show had the most gorgeous lip color on, and it was Drama. It looked in some photos like it fades to a stain (like you mentioned). I think I'm going to have to buy this.
