Sue Devitt Malaita & Tinakula Lip Intensifier Pencils
Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier pencils have been a favoite part of my makeup collection for years. I've been using them up till only a tiny stub is left, repurchasing my favorite colors again and again (Gold Reef, Victoria Falls, Surat). The Lip Intensifier Pencils have a potential to join them, if/when Sue Devitt releases more shades. The pencils are actually more lipstick than liner and will probably appeal to anyone who likes to fill and color the lips with a lip liner pencil as a base for a gloss or to make a regular lipstick last longer. Sue Devitt's Lip Intensfiers are thicker than lip liners and much creamier, making them easy to apply. They also feel nice on the lips and don't dry them (I do use a lip balm as part of my pre-makeup routine and wipe off the excess once I'm ready for lip color).
Sue Devitt pencils are wonderfully long-lasting and reliable. These are products I carry on the go as they do not melt or make messes. This is why I'd love to have them in darker evening shades, but I admit the current muted nudes are perfect for summer. Malaita is more pink while Tinakula has a brown base. Both look natural and add just a little life to a "no makeup" look.
Bottom Line: Highly recommended.
Sue Devitt Malaita & Tinakula Lip Intensifier Pencils ($22 each) are available from Barneys, select department stores and suedevittbeauty.com. Also take note that some Sue Devitt products are available on opensky.com, where you can communicate with Sue directly, ask questions and make requests. The products in this review were press samples sent by PR.
I totally agree with your review. I've been on the fence for ages because of their limited color range. I adore Sue's Eye Intensifier pencils and live for a bolder lip. Let's hope our wishes are heard.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I purchased SD's Berlin eye shadow on my last visit to NYC. It truly is the perfect gray. Thank you for recommending it.
