Laura Mercier is re-promoting four lipstick shades as part of the lovely Cinema Noir collection. This is how I discovered this Raspbery Sorbet Shimmer Lip Colour, a rich berry color that's as flattering as can be. The texture of Laura Mercier's lipstick has always been great and this is no exception: smooth, lightwight and comfortable. Raspberry Sorbet is saturated with pigment and stays on nicely (it survives a drink). Shimmerphobes should not fear this one. As you can see in the photos, there are no visible particles or a disco ball effect.
Some Laura Mercier lipstick formulas are heavily scented, but as afar as I can tell this one is fragrance free, or at least I can't smell anything. The other shades that are repromoted for the Cinema Noir collection are Fresh Brown (far too brown for my taste and coloring) and Passion Fruit (a disturbingly light beige pink with more visible shimmer).
Bottom Line: love.

I was introduced to Audrey through Raspberry Sorbet, which is a bit too deep for me. The SA was wearing it, and I admired it. We tried it on, and the SA said while it was okay, but Audrey would be the one for me. I had to agree. But Raspberry Sorbet is definitely a winner.
