This will be the last tinted moisturizer review for a while (famous last words), as I'm feeling all tinted out. But Sue Devitt SpaComplexion Hydrating Marine Minerals Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 (seriously? who can even remember the full name?) is too good to skip. It feels like high quality skincare when applied and has an excellent natural finish that isn't suspiciously glowy but looks healthy and smooth.
This Sue Devitt tinted moisturizer comes in three shades. The one you see here is Moorea, the medium one. It looks very yellow on my arm (this is a heavy swatch with enough product to cover half a face), but tinted moisturizers are very forgiving and Moorea is actually light enough that I don't need to mix anything else into it to adjust the coloring. The coverage is minimal but it even out the complexion nicely even on blotchy skin days, and since it's formulated to be soothing and good-for-you, my skin often ends up in a much better state than when it started.
I apply Sue Devitt SpaComplexion with my beloved Louise Young LY 34 Super Foundation brush (I've realized lately I use it so much I need to buy a second one), and always use a primer underneath, thus the light coverage lasts for the 16 hours I often need it to.
Bottom line: excellent, if you can find a color match.
Sue Devitt SpaComplexion Hydrating Marine Minerals Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 ($40) is available at Barneys and suedevittbeauty.com. The product was sent free of charge for my consideration and review.
I love Sue Devitt products, I bet this will make a nice summer light foundation. Unfortunately my local Ulta is no longer carrying her line.
