The mystery of Alexa Chung's status as a style icon continues. Here she is a shapeless and unstyled Stella McCartney gown during the designer's London Fashion Week show. I don't think she could have looked more bland if she tried, which is unfortunate for such a beautiful woman. I'm not even talking about her aversion to combs.
Speaking of unfortunate, the worst in that event was Stella McCartney's own inexplicable dress. Too many of McCartney's designs give the impression of good intentions gone terribly awry (that's how I'd classify the dress ALexa Chung was wearing), but Stella's ass dress doesn't even have that going for it.

ReplyDeleteI must disagree. Stella is a wonderful designer. She appeals to the mid-20's cool girl going to work (and trust me, no one in the EU wears pencil skirts to the office...we left the 1950's a long time ago). I'd kill to get to wear Stella. And she look FABULOUS! I seriously doubt that anyone commenting this thread could hold up as well with three kids and a work week you wouldn't believe. Plus her hubby is pretty hot. I've seen close-ups, and he makeup is perfect. I think this is the best she has ever looked
ReplyDeleteThank you Gaia for posting about the current case of the emperoro's clothes. Stella McCartney's clothes are unflattering and poorly made. Don't get me started on her awful PVC bags that cost thousands. WHO buys this stuff? Everyone hypes her up because of her last name. Nobody knows good construction or flattering technique anymore. Whatever!!
ReplyDeleteAlexa Chung looks like something the cat dragged in. I can't for the life of my understand why she is hailed as the "style icon" as you put it. She consciously makes herself plain and wan. It's a hideous look on a pretty girl.
