NARS Spring 2012 Color Collection
The campaign photo of NARS Spring 2012 Color Collection (above, featuring model Ginta Lapina) captured my heart. Bold vibrant colors and shades that are not necessarily spring (the photo could have easily depicted a summer collection) but are definitely me. There are enough items in the range that will appeal to pastel-loving souls (and skin tones), but my choice was easy: the single eye shadow in Lhasa, Soft Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite and the limited edition eye shadow duo in Paramaribo:
NARS Spring 2012 Color Collection will launch online (narscosmetics.com) in two days, on January 13th. The nail polish, eye shadow trio and duo are limited edition.
How does it look to you?
All photos by NARS.
Oh Glorious, Gaia!! I'm with you - WOW. Makes me start imagining spring decor and we're just settling into winter ha! :) Have a Gorgeous Wednesday!

I'm interested in the eyeshadow trio but I need to see it swatched first because I have to blind buy on the internet. I already know that the lightest pink won't work for me but I'm interested in the other two in the palette. :)

she looks like eva marcille in these pics! love it...the products look noteworthy for sure
ReplyDeleteI think Gaiety looks really pretty but do I really need another pink blush? Of course I do!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe pic is truly striking. And does strike me as more summer than spring, but hey, it's lovely--and sunny and warm!
ReplyDeleteSo far, no good.
ReplyDeleteI love the Lhasa eyeshadow and that looks like the real winner in the collection, in addition to the bronzy eyeshadow duo. But I wonder, on what woman has pink eyeshadows ever looked good? Why are all these pink eyeshadows flooding the market? Do the makeup color gurus think we want to look like pink-eyed eczematous creatures? That's my rant for the day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, nonblonde, for your wonderful, informative and funny blog!!!
These colors look lovely, can't wait to try them. Can I say I'm in lust over that bracelet, it reminds me of Ugo Correani pieces from the 80's.
ReplyDeleteZanne, as always, thank you for the sunshine you spread. This collection is inspired and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteKatherine, some of the fair-skinned bloggers will probably swatch the trio. It's totally not my thing so I had to pass.
ReplyDeleteSocialitedeams, I know what you mean: Eva Marcille has an amazing glow about her that looks similar.
ReplyDeleteLucy, Gaiety looks like a super pretty pink blush. It's too pink for me but will flatter many.
ReplyDeleteMim, the photo makes me happy. I guess I'm more of a summer than spring person.
ReplyDeleteHopflower, good for you. You just saved yourself a significant amount of money ;) .
ReplyDeleteToughdoc, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you regarding pink eye makeup. Maybe it works for someone but that person is definitely not me.
Elizabthe, I had the very same thought about the bracelet. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't already, are you still going to get the soft shadow pencil after seeing the F rating it got on Temptalia?
ReplyDeleteLove the ad for this collection. It has that late 70's Vogue cover look that I've always admired.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the blue pencil in person? I've been all about the jewel toned liners lately.
Amanda, I was sent the pencil and have been playing with it. I'll review once I've worn it enough to determine its stability and wear.
ReplyDeleteVictoria, I have the pencil and the color is indigo-ish. Different enough from both my Laura Mercier and Sue Devitt chunky blue pencils.
