These two pretties, Lamé and Suede eye shadows, come from Becca's two eye shadow ranges: Lamé is a shimmer and Suede is a demi-matte, or what many other brands call satin. In both cases, Becca eye shadow texture is very fine and skin-friendly. The shimmer of Lamé is devoid of any particles or actual shine; it's a glow more than anything. Suede is not chalky or super powdery; instead, it's like a silk jersey. No wonder that Becca names the eye shadows after fabrics.
Lamé is an almost silvery taupe, quite unique even in my taupe-rich collection. Suede is a semi-sweet chocolate color that works well with Lamé as it does with some of my favorite eye shadows from other brands (try it with some of the Le Metier de Beaute neutral colors or with Edward Bess newer colors; Lamé looks gorgeous with Storm, Suede is wonderful with Mirage). Adding a little Becca Eye Tint in Gilt also looks beautiful.
Bottom Line: what's not to love?

ReplyDeleteWow Lame (I have no idea how to do the acute on my computer) looks like my ideal taupe, I like them to be more silvery than brown. I'll have to check it out.

Those are so pretty I wish I could wear brows. Becca's finishes have a magical affinity to the skin.
ReplyDeleteI had Lame once, but it broke - I find that Becca's eyeshadows are bizarrely fragile. I should consider repurchasing it. Suede also looks like a perfect brown!
