The pointy eyeliner brush is one of two lining tools offered by Paula Dorf. The other one is the Transformer brush that I will show you soon (I bought it about six months ago on the advice of several readers). But today we're talking about the regular Paula Dorf eyeliner brush.
This is a classic synthetic brush for use with liquid, cream and gel eyeliner. The handle is short, the hair is of average length and good density/flexibility ratio. The brush is easy to control: between the pointy tip that allows for drawing a thin line and the sturdy flat shape, I'd say even beginners will be able to use it successfully.
I consider the Bobbi Brown brush a bit easier for the eyeliner novice, but once you want to get finer and more precise results, Paula Dorf's brush is an excellent option (it has less give than the MAC ones, for better and for worse).
Paula Dorf Eyeliner Brush ($20) is available at Henri Bendel in NYC and from pauladorf.com.
