Bacterium is the unappealing name of a beautiful Illamasqua nail polish. Bacterium is an opalescent beige with a pearly iridescent finish that proves once again that nude and neutral nail color doesn't have to be boring and drab.
Bacterium is the first Illamasqua nail polish I ever tried, so I can't compare texture between this one and others, but I can say that it's easy to apply with minimal streaking, 2-3 coats give fyll coverage and an even finish. The first time I've worn Bacterium I tested it without a top coat. It chipped on the 3th day (I did use a Deborah Lippmann base). With top coats that I renew every other day, it takes about six days to show wear, unless I stick my hands in harsh chemicals.
Bottom Line: what's not to love?
Illamasqua Nail Varnish ($14) is a Sephora exclusive, available online and in select locations.
That is a beautiful color with an ugly name. I'm a fan of neutral nails because they don't show wear as badly as brights/darks.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of my favorite and most worn colors of this year! I love the quality, too.
