I'm thankful that I don't have to choose just one favorite blush brush because it's a tough competition. This Le Metier de Beaute blush brush joined my collection over a month ago and promptly entered into heavy rotation, shooting into my top ten list (yes, it will be published as soon as I'm done with individual reviews).
The Le Metier brush has everything I love in a blush brush: incredibly soft hair that's tightly packed, grabs the right amount of product and deposits it softly but accurately. The shape is excellent: thin on the side, wide front and gently curved but full on the bottom. This offers both versatility in application technique and supreme blending.
Le Metier de Beaute Blush Brush is made of goat hair, has a short but sturdy handle and haven't lost a single hair in the weeks I've had it. The closest match to it in my collection is Blush Brush 002 from Rouge Bunny Rouge. The RBR brush is a little wider, but the proportions are similar and I use them the same way. Trish McEvoy Sheer 2B is rounder while Chanel #7 and Sue Devitt blush brush (another huge favorite) are flatter.
Le Metier de Beaute Blush Brush ($55) is available from Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and also Nordtrsom (online and in select locations). This brush was sent for my consideration by the company.

I too have this brush and it is the only blush brush I use. Like you, mine has not lost a single hair, totally worth every penny in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThis review is just what I needed, thanks! I'm trying to decide between the Le Metier and the RBR blush brush--it seems they would be too similar for me to justify having them both. Which one is better, in your opinion? (in terms of quality, to be specific?)
