Five years ago fashion designer Paco Rabanne left the house carrying his name and the ready-to-wear market. This fashion week in Paris saw the return of the Paco Rabanne house to fashion, headed by designer Manish Arora. They held a presentation to announce a reissue of the iconic bag, Le 69 Paco Rabanne (in the photo above).
There's also an interesting collaboration with two other fashion talents. A partnership with Comme des Garçons resulted in a version of the metal chain bag in the same design, but with new colors and materials (shagreen, leather). The “Le 69″ Paco Rabanne x Comme des Garcons Bags are already available in Paris as well as online from Colette (colette.fr) where they cost 815 – 1500 euro.
The other version is the Le 69 Paco Rabanne X Judy Blame, created by the punky British designer and takes the chain theme to the next level by decorating it with British coins, silver flowers, razor blades, whistles, and bottle openers. A fashionable Swiss Army knife? Maybe. Personally, I'd sell my soul for the vintage original version, but that's just me.
