My day has just become better. This is the new limited edition Eye Kaleidoscope from Le Metier de Beaute. Created by makeup artist extraordinaire Dustin Lujan for Valentine's Day, Smoldering Embarkment will be available at Bergdorf Goodman on Monday and can be pre-ordered ($95) by phone (212-872-8612) now. These are all new shades, not available in the permanent collection, though at least from the photo some are similar to existing ones I used to be scared of colors like the third from the top (called In Love), but my Le Metier's eye shadow have a sheer (though nicely pigmented) quality that makes them work with just about anyone's skin, and since the colors are meant to be layered the effect is always deep and stunning, never garish.
