If you're like me and have been avoiding the malls since, oh... November, then it's all about online shopping. As always, we're here to help, coach and enable.
Chantecaille's next palette will feature sea turtles. That is reason enough for me to really really want it. Charlestongirl at Best Things in Beauty met Alex Alex Chantecaille and has the details.
Kari at Fab Over Forty. This week she showed us the lipstick from the L'Wren Scott for Lancome Holiday Collection (the best collection Lancome had in forever, if you ask me). Very very tempting.
Two words: Edward Bess. There are some new lip colors- Sabrina from The Beauty Look Book shared them with us. She has great swatches and descriptions that should help you see just how gorgeous they are. I'll show you some of my own favorites very soon.
Sometimes, we wonder if at-home skin-care treatments really work. Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews shared with us her experience using the Personal Microderm kit, and the results looked professional. Very impressive.
Carla from Product Girl is in a contest, and if she wins you could win big too. Check out her Make Up For Ever's Lips to Love contest and vote. If she wins, she can give away 10 train cases with Make Up For Ever beauty inside!
Debbi has some tried-and-true products that she's featured recently at DivaDebbi. This week, she shared with us a foundation she loves, a mascara she likes, and a shampoo and conditioner that, well, sadly disappoint.
Do you have several holiday parties to attend, but don't want to spend a lot of money on all new clothing? Chelsea from BeautyXposé showed us a new, affordable way to wear designer clothes to all those parties!
Amy from Café Makeup is doing her best to brighten our days and make us forget it's December. It may be cold outside, but the new Chanel Eyeshadow Collection Côte D'Azur Promesse gives us thoughts of warm sun, the sparkling ocean, and sandy beaches. There's no windchill in Chanel's universe.
Speaking of the beach, Jane from Daly Beauty experimented with Tigi Foxy Curls Contour Cream to give her hair a beachy look. She shared with us her results and images of her celebrity "beach hair".
Dimitri from Sorcery Of Scent is participating in Andy Tauer's Advent Calendar. Head there TODAY for your chance to win a bottle of the very limited edition Le Cologne du Maghreb. It's one of the most fabulous giveaways of the season.
Grace London of London Makeup Girl has a thing for Tom Ford lipsticks and I can't blame her. Just look at her review and swatches of Ginger Fawn. She also reviews Espionage, a gorgeous perfume by Ayala Moriel. Leather, tobacco, a subtle rose- I think I'm going to wear it this weekend.
And what have I been up to this week? A lot, that's for sure. It's been mostly about gorgeous palettes- Clarins Holiday Barocco eyeshadow trio, Laura Mercier Bonne Mine (all cream, all the time), and of course- Le Metier de Beaute Holiday 2010 Eye Kaleidoscope which is simply made of awesome. Then we had the magical Edward Bess with his Moroccan Rose blush and the very pretty Burberry Prune lipstick. On the perfume front I reviewed Eau d'Epices by Tauer Perfumes (Andy can do no wrong), gave my husband a scare with Aftelier Candide and enjoyed one of the most gorgeous and original creations, Cuir et Champignons by DSH. Oh, and there was also Mandarine Mandarin by every perfumista's favorite uncle.
Enjoy your weekend and stay beautiful!
