ReplyDeleteToni Morrison's "Song of Solomon" - a reread. Read it at 16, and now that I'm a little older, thought I'd pick it back up. It's brilliant, and I completely understand why it won the Nobel prize for Lit.

I was cleaning out my shed and found bottles of Vintage Hermes Amazone and Vintage Magie Noire from the early 80’s. Amazing how lovely these scents are.
Makeup
Guerlain’s Marine Kohl eyeliner paired with NARS Ondine shadow. Guerlain’s shadows are wonderful, concentrated color, silky beautiful textures, worth every penny.
Food
Broiled figs stuffed with gorgonzola cheese, drizzle of reduced balsamic vinegar to finish off. Wheat berry salad with dates and a walnut-citrus dressing, great for lunch.
Drink
Soy Chai tea.

1) My hip/groin injury-injured three months ago, ice, time and physical therapy just aren’t helping.
2) People who keep dumping stray cats in my neighborhood. I wind up fixing/spaying/feeding, trying to find homes for, etc…so frustrating.

Frequently worn Item- a classic form fitting black camisole with loud/ large necklaces and jeans. And an old fashioned rose print sundress bought at a Hospice thrift shop for a whopping $2!
Makeup- I'm a natural girl that usely just wears some eyeliner and lipbalm, this probably is because my mother's makeup style tends to be Tammy Faye esque, so nobody taught me how to do a more natural look. Ladies any smoky eye suggestions: products and instructions please dearest darlings.
Anticipation: going to Georgia to visit family this weekend, going to try to orchestrate a side trip to Atlanta.
