A couple of months ago when I had my makeup done at Henri Bendel by Philip Luque, Youngblood's Global Educator/Senior Makeup Artist, he used the pressed mineral blush in Blossom. I was a little surprised, since I've been on a pale face kick for a while and Blossom is exactly the way it sounds- a warm, cheerful pink. But using a light hand and just the right amount of the blush, Philip has made my face come alive.
The pressed lush has a finer texture than it appears at first, allowing for an easy application. You can easily control how much of the pigment goes on your face (I've used it successfully with just about every blush brush I own, my favorites for this blush are the ones with a round, domed head). Since Blossom is quite warm-toned I don't add a bronzer when wearing it, at least for now. I may change my mind in summer.
Bottom line: Pretty.
Youngblood Cosmetics Pressed Mineral Blush ($23) is available online at ybskin.com and in-store at Henri Bendel in NYC, where I bought mine.
All photos by me.
I am a big believer in brunettes wearing blush, so you see I am right!
