Several of my most favorite bloggers (Dain, Tom and Tamara) have tagged me, insisting I share six random things about myself. It's as good a post as any for a headachy night...
1. I have nine cats. Seriously. 9. That puts me exactly one husband and several pairs of Manolos away from being a crazy cat lady.
2. I didn't learn how to drive until I was 27.
3. Other than jeans, I rarely wear pants. I feel more like myself in dresses.
4. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup until I turned 16.
5. The first perfume I bought myself was Paloma Picasso.
6. Other than stray cats, perfume and artisanal jewelry, I also collect vegetarian cookbooks.
That zebra (from this site) at the top is just a random thing. I love zebras.
Since just about everyone I know has already been tagged, I'm tagging you, readers: Try to come up with a few random facts and leave a comment.

Okay, here goes:
ReplyDelete1. I have five cats and NO husband, so I am not far behind you! :-)
2. I did not learn to drive until I was....39!
3. I was the first girl in my school (the sixth grade, no less) to wear fishnet stockings.
4. I can't keep a clean desk - mine looks like an explosion in an office supplies factory.
5. I like my men prettier rather than rugged, but I will take what I can get.
6. I'm addicted to Cute Overload. There, I said it. I know I am not alone either.
I have seven cats and thought I was bad!!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how nice the zebra picture looks on your blog up above the pics of the Saks black-and-white striped bags! ;-)

I have no cats and no husband, but I used to live in a village as a child and one summer we had 13 cats, it was a bit terrible. But I love them and recently I started to like owls, aren't they beautiful? I'd like to hear them ululate (weird word) during the night, but I live in a town, so no chance. But last week I heard gooses flying high and gabbling at night. It was beautiful, you couldn't see them but you heard them.
ReplyDeleteI love skirts and collect biju.

1. I have two cats (and am divorced)
ReplyDelete2. I had a frog up until a few months ago (and 3 up until a couple years ago).
3. I wore a back brace for scoliosis from 6th through 11th grade
4. My favorite perfume in my 20's (I'm 51 now) was Charles, by Charles of the Ritz.
5. I love nice paper, nice boxes, and ribbon, and I buy them even with no use in mind.
6. I learned to drive when I was 14 (in Idaho, but you couldn't drive at night until you were 16)
I love black cats. There's no reason for this, other than I think glossy black fur is elegant. My current cat has black fur and large green eyes.
ReplyDeleteMy all-black cat is named Tigger despite a complete lack of stripes. You'd have to ask her previous owner why.
I'm the only person I know who smells good in vanilla. Seriously. But flowery things smell rotten on me, very chemical-y.
I'm part hispanic, but I look completely white (very pale skin, light eyes) because I take after my mother. I've never quite gotten over this.
I wore braces for 6 and 1/2 years. Now that they're off, I smile all the damn time.
Purple is my favorite. No, it's not subtle, but it's amazingly versatile.
