A first edition tube of mascara. Seriously.
I probably shouldn't be speaking, considering I attended three Harry Potter parties when the last books came out. I couldn't wait for the morning and had to get my paws on a copy at midnight (and spend most of the night reading). But I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of people supposedly standing in line to be the first ones to buy a vibrating mascara. I'm staying home.
What do you think?

I thought this was bizarre.
ReplyDeleteBut. I.am.dying.to.try the new one that looks like a little orb with points -- a mine? -- stuck to the end of the wand. Like something that would take your eye out. I still want it, though. (Dior?) Have you tried it yet?
PS you look so pretty in your Palais Royal photo!
I too refuse to wake up early because of some sale etc. It is silly and the women behave like hens.
ReplyDeleteBut I have a funny info for you, do you know that there are False eyelashes for men on the market?

lol.
lavinia
Haven't tried this one or the new Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes -- the one with the funny orb on it. There are so many good mascaras out now for under $10, like L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the move A Christmas Story..."You'll shoot your eye out!"...who ever thought a vibrating mascara would ever be marketed. I can hear the dirty jokes now....
ReplyDeleteMarch- Thanks! It's the MKK glw ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're talking about the new Givenchy mascara, right? I bought it today but haven't tested yet.
Lavinia- That was the funniest thing I saw this week! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteErin- I've been devoted to a $13 Clinique mascara for years. I also buy Hypnose and some Lauders when I'm in the mood.
ReplyDeleteBarbara- I hear you on the dirty jokes. I was sent another brand of vibrating mascara for review, and as I was assembling it (!) I felt like I was in a Sex & The City episode.
ReplyDeletePS Only 33% approval rating for the Givenchy mascara tonight on MUA -- everyone complains about terrible smudging! I am hoping you review it.
ReplyDeletePS Saw the vibrating mascara today in person and giggled.
March- That sounds pretty bad. I'll give it a week of testing and then post a review. I'd be very annoyed if it turns out I bought expensive crap.
